MGM Casino Revamps Table Game Policies: More Freedom for Players

MGM Resorts International has reviewed its table games policy and implemented new rules. This allows players to distribute the progress of their games on social media and websites under certain conditions. The new policy is in effect at MGM’s nine Nevada-operated casino resorts.

Under the new rules, players are allowed to send and receive SMS messages, have short phone conversations, and take pictures of their hands during gaming. However, these actions must not interfere with the progress of the game.

On the other hand, leaving objects on the table for long periods of time, making long phone calls, taking photos or videos of game equipment or other players, recording game audio, or playing music are prohibited.

The new policy reflects the millennial generation’s tendency to view video game competitions on social media, YouTube, and other platforms. This gives MGM’s casinos a new marketing avenue through live social media.
